Sammy Guevara Vs. Darby Allin, Ladder Match Qualifier Set For 2/16 AEW Dynamite
Plus Bryan Danielson takes on Lee Moriarty
Three new matches have been announced for Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, including a TNT title match, a Face of the Revolution qualifier, and a special challenge match.
Darby Allin will challenge for the TNT title, taking on champion Sammy Guevara. The two previously faced off in a match at the 2020 Revolution pay-per-view, which Allin won. He previously held the TNT title for seven months between November 2020 and May 2021.
In a Face of the Revolution ladder match qualifier, Wardlow will take on Max Caster from The Acclaimed. Keith Lee has already qualified, after defeating Isiah Kassidy in Lee's debut on Wednesday.
Also announced is a match pitting Bryan Danielson against Lee Moriarty. During Friday's Rampage, Moriarty and Matt Sydal confronted Danielson, regarding comments Danielson previously made about him being a better mentor for Moriarty than Sydal could be. Moriarty stepped up to Danielson, which "The American Dragon" appreciated, setting the stage for a match this coming week.
The card for Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, taking place at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN, is as follows:
* AEW TNT: Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Darby Allin
* No DQ: Thunder Rosa vs. Mercedes Martinez
* Face of the Revolution qualifier: Wardlow vs. Max Caster
* Bryan Danielson vs. Lee Moriarty
* Chris Jericho and Jake Hager vs. Santana and Ortiz
