Since Samoa Joe joined AEW/ROH at Supercard of Honor 2022, fans have been salivating at the thought of dream matches and feuds that Joe could have in the promotions, as well as running back some old rivalries.

Of all options in AEW, a programme between Joe and the Blackpool Combat Club is one of the most intriguing, and Joe himself has spoken about the group, saying the following to The New York Post:

“There are a lot of men within that stable I have a great amount of respect from and some I’m learning to acquire respect for,” Joe said. “Obviously some would think that it would be a perfect fit for me, but I’ve never been one to be a very good teammate so, I don’t know how that would work.”

Samoa Joe has an extensive history with both Bryan Danielson and William Regal, the former in Ring of Honor where both reigned as ROH World Champion, and the latter in NXT where Joe was at times a thorn in Regal’s side or his indispensable right hand man.

Interestingly, Joe and Jon Moxley have only ever had one singles match together in their careers, with Joe defeating Moxley in December 2017 on WWE Monday Night Raw.
