Samoa Joe Reveals He Almost Missed ROH Supercard Of Honor

Samoa Joe talks about almost missing his own shock return to ROH.

Samoa Joe recently appeared as a guest on AEW's Unrestricted podcast, and spoke about almost missing his own surprise appearance at ROH Supercard of Honor XV due to bad weather.

"I had to end up driving to Cross City, Florida, a small little rural town in the middle of Florida to catch a private jet to get up to the show. The best part was, as I arrived to the airport and I walked into this little office, this little man sitting behind the counter looked at me. I said ‘Hey man, I am here, I’ve got a jet coming in to pick me up,’ he said, ‘what time?’ I said, ‘I think seven o’clock,’ he said, ‘well we close at six, man, I’ll see what I can do."

Supercard of Honor XV took place over WrestleMania weekend, and closed with Jonathan Gresham defeating Bandido to become undisputed ROH World Champion. He was then attacked by Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt, only for Joe to make his shock return to the promotion to close the show.

Joe has since won an ROH title, defeating Minoru Suzuki in AEW to become ROH World Television Champion, and is still embroiled in a feud with Lethal, Dutt, and Satnam Singh.
