Samoa Joe Vacates ROH TV Championship

Samoa Joe has vacated the ROH TV Championship

‘The King of Television’ has abdicated his throne, with Samoa Joe officially vacating the ROH TV Championship after a record breaking 574 day reign.

Joe successfully defended the title against Keith Lee on the November 8 edition of AEW Dynamite, and after the match took a mic to proclaim that he didn’t come here to ‘merely be TV Champion’, officially vacating the title before telling MJF that he’s coming for the AEW World Championship “whether he likes it or not”.

The 'Samoan Submission Machine' had held the title since defeating Minoru Suzuki for the strap on the April 13 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, less than two weeks after making his Ring of Honor return.

It is unknown just when Joe will officially challenge for the AEW World Title, with MJF’s next scheduled defence set to come against Jay White at Full Gear on November 18. Should MJF get past the ‘Switchblade’, then it’s assumed he’ll put the gold on the line at AEW World’s End on December 30, in his hometown Long Island.
