Samuray Del Sol Debuts In New Promotion

Samuray Del Sol has debuted for a Japanese promotion

Samuray Del Sol, FKA Kalisto, has debuted in a new promotion.

The ex-WWE star appears to have landed a gig with Japanese promotion DDT Pro-Wrestling. The masked man showed up on the promotion's DDT First Dream show yesterday at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall. It was DDT's first show of the year.

A fan-run DDT Twitter account shared footage of the debut and noted that Samuray Del Sol will make his in-ring debut at Judgement 2023 (on March 21). His opponent for that show was not named.

In the footage, Del Sol (speaking English) told fans how excited he was to be in DDT before leading them in a chant of 'LUCHA!'.

Since being released by WWE in April of 2021, Del Sol has only wrestled 13 matches for various promotions in the USA, Puerto Rico, Europe, Mexico and the Middle East.

His most high-profile outing was an unsuccessful challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Titles on the November 3, 2021 episode of Dynamite, as he teamed with Aerostar to lose to champions FTR.

Del Sol worked as a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center this past November.
