Whilst there’s still a long way to go, AEW’s women’s division seems to be on the up, with multiple stories booked on AEW TV, as well as big signings for the division such as Saraya.

Saraya herself has given her take on the state of AEW’s women’s division, telling Forbes that she feels there’s enough scope to promote a women’s tag division in the company:

“I’m always for an all-women’s show, for sure. I feel like there could be a tag division we could get going as well,” said Saraya when discussing the ‘All Elite Women’ trademark recently registered by AEW. “Like [women’s] tag team championships. I don’t think we should load wrestling with a ton of championships, but there is space for a women’s tag division, too. There are a lot of women we have backstage that are not on the show, and that could give them an opportunity to be on the show. There is always so much we could do with the women, and people don’t realise how much talent we have backstage.”

Saraya is set to tag with a mystery opponent against Britt Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter on January 11.
