Sasha Banks & Bayley Reportedly Told About WWE WrestleMania 35 Loss & Split On Day Of Show

Bayley moved to SmackDown Live on Tuesday...

Sasha Banks and Bayley were reportedly unhappy about losing the WWE Women's Championships at WrestleMania 35.

Before today, the latest we knew about The Boss 'n' Hug Connection's situation was that Sasha had been given time off by WWE to consider her future - The Boss is said to be returning at next month's Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

As for Bayley, she was drafted to SmackDown Live during this week's episode and claimed that she was a singles competitor once again.

According to this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, even though it had been the plan all along, Sasha and Bayley weren't actually told about their WrestleMania 35 loss and tag team split until the day of the show: "Regarding Banks, it should be noted that the decision to put the women’s tag titles on The Iiconics was not a last minute decision and many people knew about it in the company.

"However, Banks & Bayley weren’t told until the day of the show. They were also told at the time that the company was going to drop them as a tag team.

"So it was the combination of not getting the title run they expected to establish the belts as meaningful and not joke belts, and splitting up their team so quickly that got both of them upset. Bayley was upset but didn’t quit or anything. Banks was given a few weeks off when she tried to quit with the idea of them sorting things out and time off would lead her to wanting to come back."
