Sasha Banks Confirmed for October 1 WWE SmackDown

The boss is back on the blue brand

WWE have confirmed that Sasha Banks will be returning to Friday Night SmackDown on October 1.

Banks made her return to WWE television at Extreme Rules 2021 on Sunday, interfering in the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. The Boss attacked both women in the match, resulting in the bout being declared a no contest.

WWE have now announced that Banks will appear on SmackDown this week, featuring on the blue brand for the first time since the August 13 episode.

Banks had originally been scheduled and advertised to challenge Belair for the SmackDown Women's Title at SummerSlam last month, but was pulled from the SmackDown prior and the event itself for reasons that are still unclear.

In her place, WWE called in Lynch, who made her first appearance on WWE television since May 2020, defeating Belair for the Title in just 26 seconds.

As well as Banks appearing on SmackDown, WWE have also confirmed Edge will be making an appearance to answer Seth Rollins' challenge. The promotion will also conduct Night One Of the 2021 WWE Draft.
