Satoshi Kojima Showers MLW Fans With Bagels

The love affair between Satoshi Kojima and bread continues at MLW Kings of Colosseum

From a humble loaf of Warburtons to New York bagels to a mighty loaf of sourdough, Satoshi Kojima loves any form of bread he can get his hands on. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion doesn't want to keep all the bread for himself, though, and all are welcome to join Bread Club.

Kojima's love of bread made its way to MLW Kings of Colosseum on Saturday, January 6. Kojima made an appearance during the MLW special as he came out to greet the crowd and proceeded to throw bagels to fans in attendance. Kojima then stated he planned to become MLW World Heavyweight Champion for a second time but he was interrupted by Sami Callihan to set up their match at MLW Reload. After Callihan shouted expletives at Kojima, their segment broke down into a brawl before they were separated by officials.

The MLW Reload match will air on January 20 and Kojima will challenge Alex Kane for the MLW World Heavyweight Title at MLW SuperFight on February 3.

Having not wrestled for MLW since 2003, Kojima returned to the company in December 2023 with a win over Tom Lawlor. In Japan, Kojima remains active across NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH, along with the odd appearance for AJPW.

Kojima tweeted following the MLW Reload taping: "I was able to fight in America again today. But I'm not famous yet. Everyone, please spread my message if you like. I'm a Japanese wrestler who loves bread."
