Scott D'Amore Thanks AJ Styles & WWE For IMPACT Slammiversary Video Message, Styles Responds

IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore has thanked AJ Styles and WWE following The Phenomenal One's video message at Sunday's Slammiversary pay-per-view.

"Thank you so much to @AJStylesOrg for taking the time to share his thoughts and feelings about @IMPACTWRESTLING. AJ is truly the more Impactful talent in the 20 year history of this company. Thank you to @WWE for allowing AJ to be part of #Slammiversary," D'Amore tweeted. 

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion spotted D'Amore's tweet soon after and replied, admitting it was an honour to appear at the pay-per-view. 

"Thanks Scott, it was an honor. You've always been good to me. It was a pleasure being able to show you and impact my gratitude," Styles wrote back. 

The Phenomenal One appeared in a brief video message at Slammiversary after being named the most impactful X-Division wrestler in the promotion's 20-year history. Styles discussed how the X-Division revolutionised pro wrestling before he raised a toast to the promotion that was his home for 11 years. 

AJ previously performed for IMPACT from 2002 until December 2013 and he was very much the promotion's ace throughout his run. He left the company as a five-time world champion, six-time X-Division Champion, six-time tag team champion, and the first Grand Slam Champion in the company's history. He currently competes in WWE and is a two-time WWE Champion.
