Sean Waltman Addresses Likelihood Of Billy Gunn Being A Part Of D-Generation X Reunion

Will Billy Gunn rejoin Sean Waltman and D-Generation X for one night only?

WWE announced recently that a D-Generation X celebration will take place on the October 10 edition of RAW in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Promo videos for the event showed D-X alumni Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg and X-Pac, with Billy Gunn notably part of AEW. When asked if Gunn could make an appearance on the show, 'X-Pac' Sean Waltman was doubtful, saying on AdFreeShows:

"I don't think it's impossible or completely out of the question, but it seems like...the whole idea of it might have been more probable a couple of months ago," said Waltman.

In the past AEW have allowed their talents to make special WWE appearances, such as video messages from the likes of Bryan Danielson and Mark Henry for John Cena’s anniversary special earlier this year. However with the recent ‘contract tampering’ accusations levelled at WWE by AEW, it seems that any chance of future collaboration is off the table, for now.

Gunn has been with AEW since its formation, working as a trainer and on-screen talent, with Gunn currently managing the AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed. Gunn previously appeared with D-X at the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame, where Triple H ribbed Gunn about working with AEW.
