Back in October, it was confirmed that Seth Rollins was ruled out with an injury, relinquishing the World Heavyweight Championship. This injury was reportedly picked up during his Crown Jewel 2025 match with Cody Rhodes, and it led to WWE speeding up the betrayal of Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, who each attacked him to write him off WWE programming. As we inch closer to WrestleMania 42, Rollins could be back in the mix soon.

Speaking on ESPN’s First Take, Rollins was asked about his current status and return, to which he revealed that he was getting close to a comeback.

“No, I will not be able to do anything this weekend. But we’re getting close. I mean, look, I can move it around, it’s not in a sling anymore. It’s feeling good. It was in October, is when I got the surgery. So, you know, you look at the timeline, we’re getting close. We’re getting close. We’re not all the way there, but we’re getting close, guys.”

Back in October, it was noted that Rollins’ rotator cuff injury would be keeping him out of action for around six months, so this would line up with how long he was expected to be out for.
