To kick off a day filled with professional wrestling on Sunday, September 4, NXT and NXT UK went head-to-head in the UK brand's final event at Worlds Collide, a show broadcast from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Several unification matches were held to bring NXT UK to an end and it was largely a night of NXT dominance, although the first unification contest was won by former NXT UK stars in Pretty Deadly as they defeated NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers, NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, and Wolfgang and Mark Coffey of Gallus in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match to unify the tag team titles. The finish came about after Damon Kemp betrayed The Diamond Mine, attacking Julius Creed with a chair which allowed Elton Prince to score the shock win for Pretty Deadly.
Former NXT UK stars did not fare so well elsewhere on the card, however, as Mandy Rose overcame Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat Match to unify the NXT Women's and NXT UK Women's titles. Then in the main event, Bron Breakker vanquished Tyler Bate following a 17-minute battle to unify the NXT and NXT UK championships.
Outside of the unification matches, Carmelo Hayes retained his NXT North American Championship against former Intercontinental Champion Ricochet, and Kayden Carter and Katana Chance picked up a win over Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H to retain their NXT Women's Tag Team Titles.
