Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio Set To Appear On WWE Raw
Setting up a pair of SummerSlam bouts...
Both Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio have been announced as making appearances on this Monday's episode of WWE Raw, the final red-brand show on the road to SummerSlam.
Michaels' appearance stems from Randy Orton's attack last week on long-time mentor Ric Flair. Flair had been at Orton's side up until recently, when Orton turned on his former Evolution ally, and took him out with a punt.
The advertising for Michaels appearance says he will "address" Orton's attack on Flair, which one assumes will lead to a confrontation between himself and Orton.
Orton is scheduled to challenge WWE champion Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.
As for Mysterio, he makes his first appearance since "losing his eye" at Extreme Rules last month, in a match against Seth Rollins.
Rollins is facing Mysterio's son Dominik at SummerSlam, in what is Dominik's first ever wrestling match, in fact. Last week on Raw, Rollins violently attacked Dominik with a kendo stick in a sustained beatdown. Mysterio's appearance will see him confront Rollins six nights before the match at SummerSlam.
