Shinsuke Nakamura is now a three-time United States Champion after defeating LA Knight for the US Title at Survivor Series: WarGames on Saturday, November 30.

Nakamura won the belt after hitting LA Knight with a Scorpion Death Drop on the metal partition separating the two rings. The King of Strong Style then followed up with a Kinshasa before the referee counted the 1-2-3.

Nakamura's title win comes only a few weeks after he made his WWE return, making his comeback with a 'Wandering Samurai' gimmick that is heavily inspired by Japanese history. Nakamura immediately targeted LA Knight and the title match was soon made official for Survivor Series: WarGames.

Nakamura previously held the United States Championship for 158 days between July 2018 and January 2019. His second reign was much shorter than planned after a botch meant he dropped the belt to R-Truth by mistake.

Nakamura's win ended LA Knight's reign at 119 days. Knight had been champion since defeating Logan Paul for the championship at August's SummerSlam pay-per-view/premium live event.
