'Significant Interest' In Ricky Starks Within WWE NXT

WWE NXT hold a 'significant interest' in bringing in Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks' name has been swirling around social media in the early hours of Wednesday, with speculation claiming that Starks is now a free agent following the expiry of his AEW contract. Those claims are unconfirmed, however.

Amidst speculation swirling, though, Fightful Select's Corey Brennan has reported there is "significant interest" within WWE NXT in bringing Starks into the Tuesday night brand whenever he becomes available.

It has been known for some time that WWE are interested in signing Ricky Starks and the belief among some in AEW is that the former FTW Champion wants to go to WWE. The expectation within the industry is that Starks will land in WWE at some point.

Starks has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2020 and has been on the receiving end of a couple of pushes during his time with the promotion. Starks hasn't been on AEW TV at all since March 2024, though, despite being available for the promotion after recovering from a short-term injury.

A former AEW talent in Ethan Page has been prominently featured in NXT since signing with WWE and 'All Ego' is the reigning NXT Champion. Lexis King, meanwhile, has been a mid-card act on NXT since joining WWE.
