Significant Title Change Occurs At Impact Tapings (SPOILERS)

A notable development out of Impact

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that a noteworthy title change has taken place at Friday night's Impact tapings in Dallas.

Per Johnson's report, the Impact World Tag Team titles have changed hands, as Mike Bennett and Matt Taven defeated The Good Brothers to capture the belts.

Fightful Select reported days ago that Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson's deals with Impact would expire sometime after this weekend's TV tapings. Though the Good Brothers' deals were originally set to expire at the end of July, they agreed to brief extensions that would keep them around through August.

Fightful's report added that Gallows and Anderson are set to tour with New Japan in September, by which time their Impact deals would have definitely lapsed.

As part of this weekend's TV tapings in Dallas, Impact advertised Gallows and Anderson as facing The Motor City Machine Guns on Saturday night.

The Good Brothers signed with Impact in July 2020, and debuted at Slammiversary that month. Together, they held Impact's Tag Team titles on three occasions.
