Silhouette Of Tessa Blanchard Appears In WWE 2K Battlegrounds

The game was released today...

WWE's latest video game WWE 2K Battlegrounds is finally here and the game was released earlier today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch and Stadia. Fans can play as over 70 WWE Superstars and legends including Andre The Giant, The Undertaker, John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Triple H.

Battlegrounds hasn't had the best of launches so far, though. Twitch streamer newLEGACYinc was playing an advance copy of the game last night and noticed developer Saber Interactive has included a silhouette of Tessa Blanchard on the Royal Rumble tutorial screen. The image in question was taken back at the IMPACT Wrestling Hard To Kill pay-per-view when Blanchard faced Sami Callihan for the IMPACT World Championship.

IMPACT Wrestling photographer Basil Mahmud noticed the silhouette and revealed neither WWE nor 2K had asked for permission to use the photo. He tweeted: "Hey @WWEgames you wanna tell me why you took my photo without my permission to use it in your game?"

2K is yet to comment on the matter.
