SmackDown Women's Title Match Set For WWE Survivor Series
Who gets the shot?
Ronda Rousey has an opponent for her WWE Women's championship at Survivor Series, following a number one contender's six pack challenge on Friday's episode of SmackDown.
Rousey's opponent will be Shotzi, who defeated Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Sonya Deville, Lacey Evans, and Xia Li to earn the shot, after pinning Li.
In a backstage segment after the match, Shotzi was confronted by Rousey and Shayna Baszler. It ended with Baszler choking Shotzi out.
Rousey has been SmackDown Women's champion since defeating Morgan at Extreme Rules on October 8. In her only televised defense since then, Rousey defeated surprise opponent Emma on the October 28 episode of SmackDown.
Shotzi has yet to hold gold on WWE's main roster. She previously reigned as NXT Women's Tag Team champion with Ember Moon.
The current card for WWE Survivor Series, taking place Saturday, November 26 at TD Garden in Boston, includes the following:
* Women's WarGames: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and two more TBD vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Nikki Cross, and one more TBD
* Men's WarGames: Participants TBD
* SmackDown Women's: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Shotzi
