Son Of A Gunn Signs For AEW

The Ass Boy arrives in AEW!

At the New Year's Day taping of AEW Dark, Billy Gunn and his son Austin Gunn teamed together in a dark match against Shawn Spears & Preston Vance. The match itself did not air on Tuesday's episode of Dark as it was designed to be a try out for Austin.

AEW was evidently impressed as after The Gunn Club defeated Shawn Spears & Peter Avalon on Wednesday, AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes came out and announced The Ass Boy had signed with the young promotion.

Austin started wrestling back in 2017 and since then, he has primarily competed on the Independent scene. He wrestled on the pre-show of ALL IN as he was involved in the 15-man battle royal to determine the number one contender for the Ring Of Honor World Championship.

Gunn reportedly signed with ROH back in June 2019, and he took part in their Top Prospect Tournament in August and September. He defeated both Brian Johnson and Dante Caballero to reach the final of the tournament but ultimately finished as the runner-up after losing to Dak Draper.
