Sony Executives In Attendance For WWE Raw

Could we see WWE talents pop up in Sony's Spider-Man universe?

WWE Monday Night Raw emanated from Ontario, California on September 23. Due to the show's close proximity to Hollywood, executives from Sony were in attendance for Raw, as well as representatives from other film and TV studios, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported. This fuelled excitement within WWE, especially as a bunch of talents have signed with Paradigm in recent months to explore acting opportunities. There has been greater interest between Hollywood and WWE wrestlers since the Endeavor takeover of WWE. 

WWE are also partnered with Sony for some of their international TV deals, including in India. 

A whole host of executives from Netflix were in attendance at WWE Raw to the point they were seated in multiple rows behind announcers Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett, as well as an executive suite in the Toyota Arena. WWE Raw will begin airing on Netflix from January 2025, while all of WWE's programming will be available on Netflix in many international territories, including the United Kingdom. WWE and Netflix reached a 10-year deal worth $5 billion earlier this year.
