Spike Dudley Makes In-Ring Return

Little Spike Dudley wrestled for the first time in eight years.

Former ECW, WWE and TNA star Spike Dudley made his return to the ring this past weekend.

The 53-year-old wrestled at a LIVE Pro Wrestling event on December 3. The show - which also featured talent such as Ethan Page and John Cena Sr. - took place in Bedford, Massachusetts and also acted as a toy drive for the Toys for Tots charity.

One of Spike's opponents, Leon St. Giovanni (LSG) shared a clip of the match on social media (before assuring fans that he had beaten Dudley 'senseless' afterwards).

A former WWE Cruiserweight, Hardcore, European and Tag Team champion, Spike last wrestled in December 2015. He had been wrestling only sporadically for several years by that point.

Since retiring from the wrestling business, Spike (real name Matt Hyson) has worked in the finance industry. During a 2020 interview with Chris Van Vliet, Hyson noted that he worked with financial investment company Merrill Edge.

As well as his multiple championship reigns and other accomplishments, Spike was also the first person to take the 3D, which D-Von Dudley admitted almost killed his kayfabe brother.
