[SPOILER] Former IMPACT Wrestling Star Returns During August 16 Tapings

The return happened during a Josh Alexander X Division Title open challenge

IMPACT Wrestling have commenced their latest round of tapings this week, filming content for their weekly Thursday shows, as well as matches for the upcoming Emergence IMPACT Plus special.

During the tapings that occurred on Monday August 16, a former IMPACT star made their return to the company after a one year hiatus, when Jake Crist answered an open challenge from X Division Champion Josh Alexander.

Alexander defeated Crist, and then answered a challenge from former eight-time X Division Champion Chris Sabin for Victory Road.

Crist was best known for his run alongside brother Dave Crist, and with Sami Callihan as part of Ohio Versus Everything, with Jake reigning as a one time GFW/IMPACT Tag Champion with Dave, as well as a one-time X Division Champion.

Crist was released from his IMPACT contract in late 2020 due to a lack of creative options due to his ties with Dave Crist, and fellow Cancel Culture partner Joey Ryan, with Dave Crist and Ryan implicated as part of the Speaking Out movement. Jake Crist was not involved in any Speaking Out allegations.
