Spoiler: New Men's Owen Hart Tournament Qualifier Match Announced
The match was announced at the latest AEW Dark tapings
AEW held their latest round of Dark tapings this past weekend, and announced a new qualifying match for the upcoming Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
At the tapings, Tony Schiavone spoke with Dante Martin following his victory over Invictus Khash, with Schiavone informing the Top Flight star that he is set to face the returning Rey Fenix for a place in the tournament.
Fenix made his AEW return on the April 27 edition of Dynamite, reuniting with Death Triangle in a brawl with Malakai Black’s House of Black.
The Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments are set to begin later this month, with the finals occurring at AEW Double or Nothing on May 29. So far confirmed for the men’s tournament are Darby Allin, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, Kyle O'Reilly, and Dax Harwood, whilst Jeff Hardy and Bobby Fish will be battling for a spot on the May 4 AEW: Dynamite.
So far confirmed for the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament: Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, Red Velvet, Ruby Soho, and Dr. Britt Baker DMD.
