A title will change hands on the special Maximum Carnage edition of AEW Collision on Saturday, January 17.

AEW taped Collision from the Arizona Financial Theater in Phoenix following Dynamite Maximum Carnage on Wednesday night. The opening contest of the taping saw Hangman Page team with JetSpeed to challenge Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs of The Opps for the AEW World Trios Championships and it was ultimately the challengers who walked away with the victory and the titles. After the match, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana applauded Page and JetSpeed on their win.

The title change was likely due to Wednesday night being Powerhouse Hobbs' final date under contract with All Elite Wrestling, and he said his goodbyes to the locker room following the taping. The belief within WWE is that Powerhouse Hobbs is heading to the company.
