SPOILERS: Released WWE Talent Performs At IMPACT Wrestling TV Tapings

SPOILERS below!

A released WWE talent was in action at IMPACT Wrestling's latest TV tapings.

The promotion returned to Skyway Studios on Sunday, August 15 for three days of tapings and former WWE developmental talent Brandi Lauren went one on one with Melina on yesterday's show, according to IMPACT Asylum. This was Lauren's first match in IMPACT since 2017.

Melina picked up the win by submission on Sunday and the match will air on a future edition of IMPACT Wrestling. There was also a post-match angle between Deonna Purrazzo and Melina ahead of their Knockouts Title match at NWA Empowerrr on August 28.

Sunday's match was Lauren's first TV match since she was released by WWE in May. Lauren was one of the former EVOLVE talents who signed with WWE in the summer of 2020 after the promotion folded. She only made sporadic appearances in NXT, though, firstly as one of Damian Priest's hot tub girls and then in a Battle Royal in September. She was later renamed Skyler Story but didn't appear on TV after she was repackaged.

Brandi Lauren could also make an appearance in Ring Of Honor soon as the company announced she will be an alternate for the ROH Women's Championship Tournament.
