Spoilers: WWE Reviving Popular NXT Character On Main Roster

Who is it?

A new report from Mike Johnson at PWInsider has indicated that a WWE main roster talent will be reverting to the character they had previously portrayed in NXT in the very near future.

Johnson's report notes that Max Dupri (formerly of Maximum Male Models) is coming back as LA Knight, and that he's already listed under the Knight name on the company's internal roster.

Knight split with Maximum Male Models on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown. The Models group are expected to continue on as a trio, with Maxine Dupri leading Mace and Mansoor.

After championship runs in both Impact Wrestling and the NWA, the man formerly known as Eli Drake re-signed with WWE in early 2021, and was assigned to NXT, where he became LA Knight. There, he had a notable feud with Cameron Grimes over Ted Dibiase's Million Dollar title.

In the spring of 2022, Knight began making appearances in untelevised main roster segments, as the manager for Mansoor and Mace. In May, Knight formally debuted as Max Dupri on the main roster.
