Steph De Lander Recalls WWE NXT Talents Wrestling For Ron DeSantis At The Performance Center

The Florida Governor asked the WWE PC to put on a show for him and his family.

Former WWE NXT star Steph De Lander (formerly known as Persia Pirotta) has revealed that a group of NXT stars once put on a show for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his family.

Recalling the experience during an interview with VICE, De Lander said:

"I've wrestled in front of him. I've wrestled for DeSantis. I did meet him, yeah. He came to the PC once. We got called in on Saturday that Ron DeSantis wanted to have a wrestling show for his kids. So him and his family came in, and they sat front row, and we all beat each other up on a Saturday morning because he wanted to take his kids to see the wrestling".

DeSantis is currently running a campaign to secure the Republican Party nomination for the 2024 United States Presidential election. He is competing with former President of the United States (and WWE Hall of Famer, least we forget) Donald Trump, who is also seeking the nomination.

De Lander was released by WWE in April 2022. She has since worked for IMPACT Wrestling and various independent promotions, often alongside Matt Cardona.
