Stephanie McMahon: WWE Can Script The Hail Marys, We Have A Leg Up On Sports

WWE will be at the NBCUniversal and Fox upfront presentations today, and the company's Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon has been touting what makes WWE so great.

McMahon has been speaking with Deadline and told of how WWE's brand of sports entertainment has it's advantages over other forms of entertainment - and sports!

“It really is both [sports and entertainment],” she said.

“It’s like athletic theatre. It’s the story, that’s why you care. You’re swept up in the storylines. We can script the buzzer-beater moments, we can script the Hail Marys. We have a leg up on sports. You may object to what we do, but you’re never going to be bored.

“Whenever you watch a game, it’s too cluttered,” she said of sports broadcasts in general. “WWE is able to delver differently.”

During the same interview, McMahon labelled the Zombie Lumberjack match from 2021's WrestleMania Backlash event as 'pretty great': “We had zombies surrounding the ring. Zombies were walking around randomly, it was pretty great.”
