Sting And Darby Allin Vs. Brian Cage And Ricky Starks Confirmed For AEW Revolution

The Stinger returns to action...

For the first time in over five years, Sting returns to action.

"The Icon" will team with AEW TNT champion Darby Allin to face Brian Cage and Ricky Starks of Team Taz in a street fight at AEW Revolution, as announced Thursday by the organization.

Sting had previously affirmed his retirement during his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2016. He suffered spinal stenosis during his WWE title match with Seth Rollins the prior September, after sustaining a buckle bomb.

Sting has largely been aligned with Allin since his arrival in AEW at "Winter is Coming" on December 2. He has appeared by Allin's side while warding off the various Team Taz members in a number of instances since.

Sting attacked Starks with his bat at the end of last Wednesday's Dynamite, preventing him further interfering in Allin's successful title defense against Cage.

The current card for AEW Revolution, scheduled for Saturday night, February 27, is as follows:

* AEW World Tag Team: The Young Bucks (c) vs. TBD by a battle royal at AEW Beach Break on February 3

* Street Fight: Darby Allin and Sting vs. Brian Cage and Ricky Starks
