Sting Returns On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw Sting return to the company

After declaring that showtime was ‘almost over’ in early April and leaving Darby Allin to go it alone in his quest to dethrone AEW World Champion MJF at Double or Nothing, Sting made his triumphant return to All Elite Wrestling on the May 31 edition of Dynamite, once again aligning with Allin.

After Allin and AEW international Champion Orange Cassidy defeated ROH’s Gates of Agony in tag action on Dynamite, Prince Nana, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage joined their Embassy brothers in surrounding the ring ahead of a likely five-on-two beatdown. This brought out Sting, with ‘The Icon’ making his way to the ring with his trademark baseball bat in hand to stop things getting out of hand, with Tony Schiavone losing his mind on commentary - as is tradition.

Sting and Allin have been aligned since Sting joined AEW in 2020, with the Stinger acting as a mentor and sometime tag team partner to the former TNT Champion. The WCW legend revealed earlier in 2023 that he is looking to hang up his boots after the conclusion of his current AEW deal this year.
