It’s a question that comes up time and again with no right answer; who is on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling?
A subjective question for sure, but it doesn’t stop people asking it, such as The Schmo, who pondered the thought when interviewing ‘The Icon’ Sting:
“I’m not going to put myself in there,” Sting said. “Obviously you have to have Hulk Hogan in there, you have to have Ric Flair in there. I think you’ve got to have The Rock in there. And Stone Cold [Steve Austin].”
Interestingly, of all the names mentioned, Sting shared a ring with all bar The Rock, having wrestled Hogan, Flair, and ‘Stunning’ Steve Austin multiple times during his time in WCW.
Sting has a who’s who of opponents to consider when discussing Mount Rushmores and GOATs, having also shared rings with legends such as Dusty Rhodes, The Road Warriors, Vader, The Great Muta, Kurt Angle, and Masahiro Chono and countless other hall of famers.
A near 40-year veteran of the industry, Sting has wrestled for NWA/WCW, WWE, TNA, AEW, and NJPW amongst others.
