Stipulations Added To Remaining Matches Between The Elite & Death Triangle

The Elite and Death Triangle’s best of seven series has new stakes

The Best of Seven series between AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle and The Elite continued at Winter is Coming on December 14, with Death Triangle getting the win and going 3-1 up in the series.

Once again, the champs relied on shenanigans to secure the W, with Penta smashing Nick Jackson’s ankle with the trusty ring bell hammer en route to victory. Post-match, Kenny Omega had had enough, and declared that match five will be contested under No DQ rules, with the bout set for Dynamite Holiday Bash on December 21.

AEW then aired a graphic that showed that if The Elite win next week and the series continues, then matches six and seven will also have stipulations attached, with match six on December 28 set to be a Falls Count Anywhere Match, and the match seven tie-breaker on January 11 in LA will be an Escalera de la Muerte Match (ladder match) for the gold.

If it does come down to a series-deciding game seven match, it will be the first ladder match between The Lucha Bros and The Young Bucks since All Out 2019, with the two trios teams having never competed in a ladder match.
