Swerve Strickland Planning To Ignore TNT Title Due To Sammy Guevara's Unsanitary Activities
Keeping away from the TNT Title
Swerve Strickland wants nothing to do with the TNT Championship following Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti's unsanitary activities with the title belt.
Guevara and Conti posted a nude photo of them with the TNT Title belt a few weeks ago and Strickland has since joked to WhatCulture that The Spanish God has been too unsanitary with the belt.
As a result, Swerve will pursue the AEW World Title.
"Also, what Sammy did with the title. I think I'm gonna go for the World Championship. I'm pretty sure Adam Page isn't doing anything like that. Yeah, that's the sanitised title, it looks like. So, Adam Page, man, I think he deserves more praise for what he's doing as champion right now. He's a brilliant, brilliant in-ring performer. A great human being, young, athletic, great looking guy, poise, charismatic," Strickland said.
"He brings so much to the title. He was there from day one. He helped build this company and it's beautiful to see him running with the championship. But with that being said, I want to take it from him."
Strickland signed his AEW contract at the Revolution pay-per-view earlier this year. He has since formed a tag team with Keith Lee and feuded with Team Taz's Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs.
