Swerve Strickland Still Receiving Advice From Paul Heyman Amid AEW Run

AEW’s Swerve Strickland still soliciting advice from WWE’s Paul Heyman

Swerve Strickland is on the precipice of greatness in All Elite Wrestling, with the Mogul Embassy head becoming one of the most popular stars in the company, with a World Championship run surely on the cards.

Strickland has won over the AEW fanbase with a series of high profile performances, and as he revealed on the Swerve City podcast he has also been taking advice from an influential figure in WWE:

"Little do people know, I still talk to Paul Heyman," Strickland said. "Just on a mentorship type state. I go to him for advice on like my promos and my segments that like ... when I was doing the home invasion segments and all this stuff, I was like 'how did this make you feel?' I would get reception back from him."

Heyman is widely regarded as one of the greatest minds in wrestling history, primarily for his work as the Svengali-like figure behind the influential Extreme Championship Wrestling. Prior to joining AEW, Strickland had a successful run in NXT, but was released by WWE shortly after being called up to main.

Despite signing with AEW, Strickland is believed to have been one name approached by WWE as part of the contract tampering scandal alleged by AEW.
