The WWE Draft has been known to catch WWE Superstars off guard, with AJ Styles memorably upset by The Good Brothers switching brands back in 2017. Now it seems this year’s draft has done the same, with reports stating that some talents who were drafted on Talking Smack found out the news via social media.

The report comes from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, who stated his source “defended the company, noting that the moves won't take effect for several weeks, so it wasn't as if someone ‘found out on Saturday they were now traveling to Raw at the last second.’”

Among the talents drafted during Talking Smack, several are due to switch brands, with Zelina Vega, Alpha Academy, Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez set for Raw, whilst Mace, Drew Gulak, Mustafa Ali and Mansoor heading for SmackDown, as is NXT’s Aliyah.

The same report mentioned how WWE were extra secretive around this year’s draft, with many people who were usually in the know completely unaware of WWE’s plans heading into this week’s edition of Raw.
