Taya Valkyrie Returns To AAA At Triplemania Regia

And she has an opponent in mind

Taya Valkyrie returned to AAA at tonight's Triplemania Regia event, appearing on the broadcast via video.

Valkyrie called out reigning Reina de Reinas champion Deonna Purrazzo, saying that Purrazzo had something that belonged to her: the championship.

Valkyrie wrestled in AAA from 2012 to 2020, and held the Reina de Reinas title on three occasions. Her record-setting third reign ended in February 2021 after 528 days, when the title was held up following her signing with WWE.

Her 1,544 cumulative days as champion are the most of any holder of the title, over 100 more than Faby Apache's four reigns.

Purrazzo has been champion since August 14, after defeating Apache in a title for title match (Purrazzo defended her Impact Women's title).

After signing with WWE earlier in 2021, Valkyrie took on the name Franky Monet. She only wrestled six matches for NXT, including a loss to then-Women's champion Raquel Gonzalez on September 28.

Valkyrie was released from WWE on November 4, along with 17 other individuals. Real life husband John Morrison was released two weeks later, as part of a spate of eight releases.
