Team Taz is officially no more.

Ahead of a Powerhouse Hobbs squash match on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite, Taz announced from the commentary table that the faction had dissolved before he wished Ricky Starks, Hobbs, and his own son HOOK all the best for the future.

This comes after Powerhouse Hobbs laid out Ricky Starks on last week's edition of Dynamite after 'Absolute' dropped the FTW Championship to HOOK. Starks looked to get a measure of revenge on Wednesday as he charged to the ring following Hobbs' win and brawled with his former tag team partner.

After Taz's announcement, The Human Suplex Machine tweeted: "Thank you to all of you who supported Team Taz throughout our journey as a cohesive unit. Had to give closure for the AEW audience. All 3 men were informed this was going to happen tonight. I truly feel, HOOK, Hobbs & Starks will all flourish in their own way going forward. FTW. Last thing I'd like to say is, we have had a lot of ups & downs with our group but in my opinion we had more good times than bad! It really was a lot of fun and I want to give a huge THANK YOU to the guys…."

Taz started to work as a manager in All Elite Wrestling from Double Or Nothing 2020, initially working alongside Brian Cage. Ricky Starks then joined Cage and the two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion in July 2020, officially forming Team Taz. The faction underwent more changes as Powerhouse Hobbs and HOOK joined the stable but Brian Cage was kicked out in the summer of 2021.
