Everyone at Cultaholic sends their best wishes to the Funk family

The legendary Terry Funk is reportedly now living in an assisted living facility and suffering from dementia.

The iconic hardcore pioneer has notably been dealing with health issues for some time and, sadly, it appears Funk is now requiring consistent care and help.

It was noted on the latest edition of WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco’s “Magnificent” Podcast that Funk is now residing in an assisted living home in Amarillo, Texas and is dealing with dementia.

Muraco said: “Speaking of Japan, I heard that Terry Funk is in a home for dementia. I spoke to Scott Casey over the weekend and I guess he’s driving to Amarillo. He’s all the way down in Amarillo. I know his wife passed away two or three years ago. He had that ranch down there. I don’t know who he’s with or what’s going on.”

Muraco's update has sadly been confirmed by PWInsider. The report goes on to say that Funk has been battling issues for a number of years but has noticeably deteriorated since the passing of his wife of 54 years, Vicky, in March 2019.

Having held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, NWA World Heavyweight Championship, USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship, WWF World Tag Team Championship, and ECW World Television Championship during his career, Funk is recognised as a four-time World Champion in his career and was incucted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2009.

Everyone at Cultaholic sends their best wishes to Terry and the entire Funk family.
