Anthony Bowens flipping off Max Caster

After nearly five years, The Acclaimed is no more. The tag team of Anthony Bowens & Max Caster, later joined by ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn, have been having their fair share of troubles in recent months, mostly prompted by the exceedingly cocky attitude of Max Caster, who has been referring to himself as ‘The Best Wrestler Alive’. On this week’s episode of AEW Collision, things finally boiled over.

During an in-ring segment on last night’s Collision: Maximum Carnage at the Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, Caster told Bowens to choose between himself and Billy Gunn. Bowens teased scissoring with Caster before flipping him off, standing side by side with Gunn instead. Caster unloaded on the microphone, angry at the decision, before proclaiming that he was going to prove to everyone that he is ‘The Best Wrestler Alive’.

The Acclaimed first teamed up in 2020 on AEW Dark, gradually growing in prominence as their gimmick got over with fans. Aligning with Billy Gunn brought about a babyface turn in 2022, leading the team to both AEW World Tag Team Championship and AEW World Trios Championship gold.
