He's The Boogeyman and he might be coming to get you.

In a social media video on Monday, The Boogeyman could be seen signing a contract with WWE, possibly hinting at a return for the 57-year-old Marty Wright.

Instead, though, the video was actually a re-post from December of 2021, when The Boogeyman was believed to have signed an extension on his WWE legends deal.

The former WWE Superstar has been under a legends contract with the company since 2015.

After being cut from Tough Enough, Marty Wright joined WWE's development territory Ohio Valley Wrestling before he debuted on SmackDown as The Boogeyman. He initially went on a long winning streak, defeating the likes of JBL, The Miz and Booker T before he was defeated by Finlay in February 2007.

Boogeyman then moved to ECW later that year and he remained with WWE until his release in March 2009.

Wright has continued to perform on the independent wrestling scene and he has sporadically appeared on WWE TV, most recently at Legends Night in January 2021 when he helped R-Truth win the 24/7 Championship.
