The Elite Match Added To AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024

With mere days to go until AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door III, All Elite Wrestling have confirmed that The Elite will be in action on the show.

On the June 26 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada were once again harassing The Acclaimed, with Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, and Billy Gunn having recently been on the end of The Elite’s vitriol. The Elite then challenged the former AEW World Trios Champions to a match at Forbidden Door, but even though Billy Gunn would love to participate, he instead revealed he had a replacement in Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Tanahashi then appeared via video to greet his old rival Okada, with ‘The Ace’ confirming he will be teaming with Caster and Bowens on June 30. This will be the first meeting between Okada and Tanahashi since NJPW New Beginning in Osaka in February 2024, a match Okada won.
