The Gunns Planning To Move On From The Acclaimed After AEW Revolution

Austin and Colten Gunn talk about The Acclaimed, and dealing with the AEW fans' hatred.

In a recent appearance on the Under The Ring podcast, AEW World Tag Team Champions Austin and Colten Gunn spoke about their plans after the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view on March 5 [specifically their ongoing feud with former champions The Acclaimed]. Colten explained:

"That whole thing - after this pay-per-view - is in the rearview. I'm done with it. We did what we had to do. We once were friends and now we're not, that's the end of it. That's all me and Austin will say about it. We're done and moving on after we beat them again."

It remains to be seen how true this statement is, with The Gunns set to defend their titles against The Acclaimed, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, and one further team in a four-way bout at Revolution.

Having defeated fan favourites Max Caster and Anthony Bowens for the belts, Austin and Colten have proven to be unpopular champions, and spoke about this too. Austin explained:

"Everyone hates us on Twitter, everyone hates on Instagram. Over time you look at that and go, 'Am I doing the right thing? Am I doing everything right?' I look at Colten and go, 'Hell yeah we're doing the right thing.' When I was pinning Bowens in the middle of the ring, and that crowd went silent and I looked at their faces and they were like [stunned]. We ripped their hearts out."

H/T to Fightful.
