The Knockout Brothers have committed their futures to New Japan Pro-Wrestling amidst rumours they had been offered contracts by WWE.
Yuto-Ice and OSKAR successfully defended the IWGP Tag Team Championships against Zack Sabre Jr. and Ryohei Oiwa in the main event of New Year Dash on January 5, with Yuto-Ice pinning Oiwa. Following the match, The Knockout Brothers noted in their backstage comments they wouldn't be going anywhere.
Yuto-Ice said: "Whatever rumours you hear, we're not going anywhere."
The rumours in question emerged following a report from Self Made which claimed that WWE had offered deals to the reigning IWGP Tag Team Champions.
"A source close to the situation claims that WWE has offered a contract to both Yuto-Ice and OSKAR, NJPW’s current IWGP Tag Team Champions. The Knock Out Brothers have turned heads and grabbed the attention of WWE scouts as the promotion is said to be looking to bolster their tag ranks. Multiple sources have separately confirmed to @SelfMadePW that WWE is still very much looking 'everywhere' for talent recruitment, including international markets," Self Made tweeted on December 19.
Both Yuto-Ice and OSKAR have been a part of NJPW for several years, having joined the promotion as young lions. They returned from excursion on the final day of the 2025 G1 Climax, being revealed as the newest members of Bullet Club War Dogs.
The Knockout Brothers then became IWGP Tag Team Champions at Destruction in Kobe, defeating Tomohiro Ishii and Taichi.
