The Mall Of America Wants To Host AEW Dynamite

Dust off your frilly shirt…

Minneapolis’ Mall of America has expressed interest in hosting an episode of AEW: Dynamite.

The news will excite fans of a certain vintage, as the Mall of America famously hosted the inaugural edition of WCW Nitro on September 4 1995, the episode where Lex Luger made his shock return to WCW fresh from his underwhelming run in WWE.

The official Mall of America Twitter account referenced this, Tweeting:

“We’re all for it! It worked great the first time. @AEW brings the [fire]”

The conversation came up after AEW announced that Full Gear will take place in Minneapolis’ Target Center on November 13, with fans Tweeting The Mall of America to try and get the wheels rolling.

With episodes of Dynamite occurring from the likes of a cruise ship and tennis stadiums, never mind Tony Khan’s undying love for professional wrestling history, the idea is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility, and would certainly be a fun throwback for wrestling fans, TNT, and The Mall of America alike.

Just don’t mention Hulk Hogan’s Pastamania.
