The New Day To Challenge For WWE NXT Tag Team Titles At Deadline
The New Day are looking to add to their impressive list of accolades at Deadline
Former WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) will challenge for NXT doubles gold at the Deadline premium live event this weekend.
New Day appeared on last night's episode of NXT, challenging current champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) to a match.
Pretty Deadly were in the ring reading their version of A Christmas Story, when Woods and Kingston came out and laid down the challenge. The two teams eventually got into a brawl, which ended when New Day placed Christmas presents on the heads of Pretty Deadly and superkicked them off the apron to the floor.
The New Day are one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history, having held both the Raw and SmackDown tag titles on numerous occasions (including a 483-day reign as WWE/Raw Tag Team Champions).
Deadline will mark the first time they have challenged for NXT's version of the tag team titles.
NXT Deadline will stream live on Saturday, December 10 on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network everywhere else.
