The Undertaker Reveals Original Plans For Bray Wyatt Segment At WWE Raw XXX

The Undertaker isn't bringing back his traditional character

Several years after his last appearance under the gimmick, The Undertaker returned at the Raw 30th-anniversary show in January 2023 as The American Badass, helping Bray Wyatt to fend off LA Knight ahead of their Light's Out Match at the Royal Rumble.

That wasn't the original plan, though, and The Undertaker revealed to BT Sport's Ariel Helwani those involved in the segment expected him to portray the traditional version of The Undertaker with his hat and leather coat.

"They had a different vision. They didn't even know that I wasn't going to have the hat and coat. They totally thought I was coming [out as] old Undertaker. I was like, no. That's part of me and the storytelling, right? When I lifted the curtain, and when I lifted it back and pulled it back, that's gone. It's gone now," the WWE Hall of Famer said.

The Undertaker noted he won't be bringing back the hat and coat because he doesn't believe the character can be portrayed in that way now he does interviews and public speaking.

The Undertaker and Wyatt shared a moment in the ring after they took out LA Knight, with The Phenom revealing that he told the former Universal Champion that his phone is always on if he wants to run any ideas past him.
