The Young Bucks Clarify Two-Year AEW Contract Roll-Over

The Bucks re-signed in late November

It was recently revealed that The Young Bucks had signed a new deal with AEW, but details of the new deal were sketchy.

It was first reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer that Matt and Nick Jackson were tied down until 2026, with The Jacksons themselves later revealing that they had signed a two year deal keeping them with AEW until 2024.

Matt and Nick Jackson have now publicly spoken on the matter, saying the following on the latest episode of Being The Elite:

"We had last week off,” started Matt Jackson. “If you go back one episode ago, I blogged about how burnt out I was. It's nice when you help run a company. You go, 'I need some time off,' I (get) some time off. 'I want a raise,' I give myself a raise. I want a two-year rollover, I get a two-year rollover,.”

Nick Jackson added, "I don't know if that's true, but part of it is. TK [Tony Khan] still has to finalise all of that, but we did [re-sign] for two.”

"Really, we didn't re-anything, it was always a five-year deal, a three-year guarantee with a two-year rollover. The two-year rollover has been rolled over, so we are that much richer. We will be around this guy [Adam Cole], for at least two more years. It's good to be bad. I have a pep in my step and feel good about myself. I'm ready to come here and not wrestle and just do pre-tapes,” finished Matt Jackson.
