The Young Bucks' New AEW Theme Inspired By Succession

Succession influenced The Young Bucks’ new AEW theme

The Young Bucks returned to action on the February 9 edition of All Elite Wrestling Rampage, with the new look Matthew and Nicholas Jackson entering the ring to new entrance music.

Fans online noticed that The Bucks’ new theme sounds very similar to that of the multi-award winning HBO show Succession, with Fightful Select noting that it is indeed a nod to the show, with Roman Reigns’ WWE theme also said to be inspired by Succession.

Succession ran for four series and focused on the fictional Roy family, an influential billionaire clan headed up by patriarch media mogul Logan Roy. Whilst many wrestling fans noted similarities between the Roys - based on Rupert Murdoch and family - and WWE’s McMahons, The Young Bucks’ new gimmicks of being cold power hungry EVPs insistent on running AEW in their image does also relate to Succession.

Since returning to AEW television at the start of 2024, The Bucks have swapped their loud frilly ring attire and expensive sneakers for crisps suits and flatcaps, and will now only be addressed as Matthew and Nicholas, rather than Matt and Nick.
