Those who sign with WWE are often subject to having their ring name changed, even though have made a name for themselves outside of the promotion (recent examples being the likes of Mike Santana, EVIL, and others), or those second or third generation talent who carry the surnames of legendary professional wrestlers (for instance Bron Breakker or Lexis King). The latest third-generation talent to receive a name change has been revealed.

Lacey Simon, real name Marie Malenko, made her WWE in-ring debut back in May of 2026 against Zena Sterling in a dark match before competing across NXT’s live events and more dark matches over the next several months. It seems as though she will now be going under a new name, per reports. False Finish have reported that she will now be wrestling under the name of “Kenzie”, which is a big overhaul of her current ring name.

“Kenzie” is the daughter of retired wrestling legend Dean Malenko and the granddaughter of Boris Malenko, making her a third-generation wrestler. As she progressed in her WWE career, it looks as though she will attempt to make it without her family name.
